My grandfather, Larry Lawson, was my inspiration at a young age to start woodworking. He taught me various building, design and construction techniques. And now I've been making furniture for over 30 years. I've also completed various workshops in furniture making and finishing techniques at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA, and the Philadelphia Furniture Workshop.
I love the hues and tones of a beautiful cherry - but also make wide use of black walnut, oak, maple and many other species of woods in my furniture. I specialize in Danish Modern style furniture and pieces incorporating Japanese kumiko, but I also love to work with clients on the design and creation of a piece specifically for their own home.
